About

Well I am a 28 year old male with a slight marijuana smoking habit, one might say, which requires me to want to travel to Amsterdam quite often. In my many endeavours I couldn’t help but to get to know this beautiful city and the vast amounts in which it has to offer tourists. I plan on laying all out for you. All my tips, tricks, knowledge, and wisdom will be available to you for your traveling pleasure. Whether you are a smoker, foodie, siteseer, sexual freak, on a budget so tight that you consider working in the Red Light District to earn a quick buck, this blog will help you find your way through Amsterdam bliss. My journeys are yours, one step at a time, through the experiences of a true Dutch Master. Please Enjoy.

Dood I am going in the middle of May and am stoked. I plan to hit up grey area first, but am open to any advice you may have. I am staying right off the Dam so it works out nice. If you are there and do tours, let me know ;)

Irish… Glad you enjoy the blog. Are you staying off Dam Square? Grey Area is a great shop to start at, try Amnesia right around the corner as well and Anyday close by. I plan on getting my shit together to start doing tours for the Cannibis Cup. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you out with. Have a great trip and Happy Toking.

  2. Dog,
Like Irish, I am scheduled into Amsterdam in the middle of May. My wife’s and my visit starts next week. This is my sixth trip, her fourth and we are also stoked. My first stop will be Tweede Kamer as it is close to the hotel. Will also be making it to Grey Area, Paradox, and Homegrown Fantasy.

One highlight planned for this trip will be a visit to Zandvoort. Helpful hints on the beach would be greatly appreciated. I’m enjoying your blog so keep it up! I would even like to contribute if such were possible. Best, Ed

I have travled to Zandvoort several times however it has been many years since my last time there. Defintetly hit up Yankee Doodle for your smoking needs. The beach there is nice however I am usualy there in the off season so I have yet to see the peak season crowds. I would say leave from central station early because it can get quite busy later in the afternoon. I have realy enjoyed writing the blog over the past few months. Any contributions are always welcomed and your imput from your trip will be key. Let me know what you smoked? From Where? What you thought about it? Anything non marijuana related is also much appreciated. Have a fun safe trip and Happy toking.

What time of year do you go and where do you fly out of? Any advise for finding good flights? Would be starting out from Atlanta.

    • haarlemdog says:

I tend to travel all times of year, however I tend to travel during non peak travel dates. Generally you can find cheaper flights, hotels, less crowds, etc. Check Kayak.com for flights, tripadvisor for hotels. Aerlingus has cheaper flights with a layover in dublin for a few hours out of JFK. Im not familiar with flights from Atlanta but I can imagine a nonstop is expensive. Aerlingus, KLM and Delta are your best bets. Best of luck and enjoy your trip. Get back to me if you need any other help.
